The Brewery


At Belse, we are always looking for new and exciting ways to provide the best plant based dining experience possible. From our 100% plant based food, to our artfully crafted vegan wines and cocktails, we are always looking to push the boundaries. Our brewery is no exception, with the same dedication to quality and flavor, our small batch vegan beers are brewed and served on site. With the only German built three-vessel brewery in Manhattan, we are able to produce a wide range of styles and flavors, and we serve them directly from the tanks, as fresh as possible. From a clean crisp lager, to a hazy IPA, at Belse we are dedicated to offering world class beer. Our tap list is always rotating, and our beer is the freshest in New York City, so come join us for a pint!

Ryan Gillette

Before joining Belse, Ryan studied at the World Brewing Academy and earned his Master Brewers Certificate. He went on to brew for award winning breweries to include New Belgium in Fort Collins, Co. and Trillium Brewing Company in Boston/Canton, Ma.


Belse Beer Flights


For our beer lovers with commitment issues comes a great new way to sample our drafts! These flights come with three sample size beers of your choice.

Belse Light  Lager

Liter $10    Half Liter $5

Brewed with 100% German hops, malt, and yeast. This light lager is crisp and refreshing. Pours crystal clear, with light aromas of citrus, and malt followed by a crisp mouthfeel. 3.5% ABV

Ready To Mingle


This Belgian Single is light, blonde and effervescent (everything you look for in a single). Aromas of banana and clove are followed up with a clean crisp finish. Enjoyed by singles and partners alike. 5.0% ABV


Liter $10    Half Liter $5

Brewed with a Blend of German specialty malts, this seasonal lager is open fermented and naturally carbonated. With a smooth malt backbone, and a subtle sweetness, this amber lager is served in a traditional German Stein. Prost! 4.7% ABV

2 Hop 2 Handle Double IPA


An infinitely crushable DIPA. Copiously dry hopped with Mosaic from the Pacific Northwest, and Rakau from New Zealand this hop combo packs a tropical punch. We added Sauvignon Blanc grape must to amp those juicy aromas! 8.1% ABV

Coffee/Coconut Stout


Brewed with a blend of specialty and roasted malts, aged on toasted coconut, and locally roasted coffee beans, from right around the corner at La Colombe. This imperial stout brings strong aromas of coffee, and espresso. Hints of toasted coconut, cold brewed coffee roasted barley are followed with a smooth, subtle finish. 9.0% ABV
